The Team

Therapist Team

FrancescaMy name is Francesca Raymont and I have the privilege of leading our team of therapists at Children and families in Grief. I have been a part of Children and Families in Grief since it launched in the Spring of 2011. Over the years we have worked with many children, young people and their families who have experienced the death of someone special to them. We offer a safe space and the opportunity to look at thoughts and feelings surrounding the loss and we support children, young people and families to work through their grief towards a positive future, this work is an honour to do.

My name is Karen Edmonds. I love being part of the team at CFG as a Volunteer Therapist. It is a real privilege to be allowed into each family’s life and to be able to listen to their story. It is really rewarding to feel that we have played a small part in their healing, or helped the family to support each other through sad and difficult times. The CFG therapists are always supportive of each other as well as the families they work with, and this helps to make us a strong team

My name is Alison Terry-Hawkins. I am a volunteer therapist. I am delighted to be a part of the dedicated and supportive CFG team and feel very privileged to meet and work with all the families. It is an honour to listen to people’s stories and to watch them grow, like a rose, opening from a tightly closed bud, as the petals gradually unfurl, allowing the sunshine back into their lives.

My name is Amelia Nelson and I am a volunteer therapist with CFG. I am in my final year of my studies to be a counsellor and feel very honoured to be part of such a special team, helping families to work through their grief together and giving them precious space to reflect on memories and share their stories.

My name is Melissa Last, I am a volunteer therapist. I feel so privileged to be a part of the team. I enjoying being a part of the supportive role we all offer to our families at CFG. Trustees

Pat Goss – Trustee
Since joining in 2011 I have been closely involved with this charity both as a Trustee and volunteering at events. What a wonderful opportunity this has been for me as I am also involved with Rowcroft Hospice as a Chairman of the Friends and found the two to be closely linked. To see the benefits that the CFG has to offer families when they need most support, has been a great experience and I greatly appreciate the privilege of being a part of this organisation.

GFG really helped us rebuild our lives.  When I was asked to be a trustee I jumped at the chance as it was my way of giving something back for all the help that we was
