Training for professionals
Children and Families in Grief has training designed to help professionals who work with children and young people who have experienced bereavement.
The aims and objectives of our training is:

To explore loss for children and young people in general and social terms.

To recognise physical and emotional responses to grief.

To gain a deeper understanding of loss and grief and its effects on children and young people and the consequences of denying grief.

To be able to identify what children and young people experiencing grief may require in terms of support.

To consider the ‘difficult questions’ that children and young people may ask and how we might answer them.

To understand the need for clear and honest language around death.

To explore practical ideas for use with children and young people.

To explore and reflect on your current practice/policy when working with bereaved children and young people.

To inform about the services that Children and Families in Grief can offer and how to refer.

​Our charges start at £300 for a group of up to 15 participants.
All courses are custom designed and delivered in collaboration with your organisation.
