The aims and objectives of our training is:

 

• To explore loss for children and young people in general and social terms.

• To recognise physical and emotional responses to grief.

• To gain a deeper understanding of loss and grief and its effects on children and young people and the consequences of denying grief.

• To be able to identify what children and young people experiencing grief may require in terms of support.

• To consider the ‘difficult questions’ that children and young people may ask and how we might answer them.

• To understand the need for clear and honest language around death.

• To explore practical ideas for use with children and young people.

• To explore and reflect on your current practice/policy when working with bereaved children and young people.

• To inform about the services that Children and Families in Grief can offer and how  to refer.

​Our charges start at £300 for a group of up to 15 participants.
All courses are custom designed and delivered in collaboration with your organisation.
